today is the last monday in vsme.
counting down to my last day, which is on coming friday.
there’s nothing much to do anymore.
basically transferring tons of files and backing up my emails to server.
i had handed over 80% of my work to colleague, left with 1 account only.
i heard gossiping in factory.
“i heard people said that your boss ‘love’ you and you get high salary, so why you still want to leave?”
my reasons for leaving the comfort zone:
1. i’m looking for better prospect. i knew this is very common answer for people looking for new job but this is really one of the main reasons for my leaving. i can’t foresee my future. purely doing management. indeed i’ve gained some management skills but not in a v professional way.
2. mundane job. i trust it’s happening everywhere but handling the same old project for 2 years can get really bored! as i said before, i’m getting lazier. i need something to motivate me!
3. better organized company. vs industry is actually a listed and medium size organization but not in singapore. our singapore office is merely doing marketing, project management, design and procurement. not well organized. everything’s in a mess and i mean EVERYTHING, be it work or non-work related.
4. boss-phobia (恐惧症). yes! i’m feared of receiving boss call or email, or especially learning that he’s coming back to office. (my boss is always not in town.) he’s damn fierce man! perhaps i didn’t perform up to his expectation thus the fear. whatever.
5. lastly, salary jump and better welfare. you job hop for better offer am i correct?
the ‘love’ from boss doesn’t change my mind, and i don’t think boss ‘love’ me.
everybody is treated equally.
the only reason that took me so long to leave my current company is my lovely colleagues.
it was really a great pleasure working with them.
i appreciate the friendly atmosphere.
everything’s going to start from scratch again on 5th april onwards.
the feeling is just like stepping into a new relationship.
