I was so shocked to hear that our prof was impressed with our group proj, and he's thinking of sending us for competition after exam. I was so happy lo. My grp mates had done a great job. A million thanz to them. I admit I din contribute much to this proj. (help out on d story line, poster, very little on d drawing n none for d animation.) I really really don't know how to use d program, 3D studio max. Of course I know I can learn la but really not easy lo. Furthermore, we had to submit like within a month. Quite rushed + some of my group mates still have to juggle their fyp and then exams are drawing nearer.

Glad that their hard work had paid off.

Our story line for this project:

On 20 April 2007 (Friday), Shanghai, China, has prepared an emergency evacuation exercise at Oriental Pearl Tower site.

Upon the execution of the exercise on the assault on Shanghai, power supplies are being cut off and electrical generator had to be activated to light up the city with emergency floodlights. At this point in time, the PT is no longer just a tourist attraction, but an important landmark to guide people during evacuation. Emergency floodlights begin to illuminate the top sphere bringing assurance to the defense forces and people during the mission.

In reality, such massive operation is very unlikely to happen. And the possibility to see Shanghai, 'the city that never sleeps', being engulfed in total darkness is almost impossible. To be able to see the PT in different light such as above situation is only made possible with 3D Studio Max.

Competition = more work done. For sure we have to make lotsa improvement. Hope to hear d good news from our prof.
